A few things before your first text
AutoMessage FAQ

Find answers about choosing an assistant, how messages work, your plan, and the details you control.
Getting started
Are AutoMessage assistants real people?
No. AutoMessage assistants use AI to generate replies. Their names and characters help identify each focused purpose.
Do I need to install an app?
You use the website to verify your phone and sign up. The conversation then continues through your phone messages.
Can I use more than one assistant?
Yes. Choose the assistants you want to text. Each has a separate number and focused conversation.
What should I put in my first message?
Name the task, add the important constraint and say how you want to work. For interview practice, give Alex the role and ask for one question at a time. For French practice, tell Camille your level and the situation.
Messages and your plan
How much does AutoMessage cost?
AutoMessage is free with sponsored recommendations. The optional ad-free plan costs $4.99 a month, billed monthly. Covers all your AutoMessage assistants with 200 texts a day. Cancel anytime; your plan stays ad-free through the paid period.
Does signing up enroll all 15 assistants?
No. AutoMessage enrolls the assistant you choose and other assistants you actually text. Looking at a page does not enroll its assistant.
What if I already sent the first text?
Your first text cancels the queued welcome. The assistant answers your question instead.
Is a contact card required?
No. Saving the optional card helps identify the thread but is not required to keep texting.
Does the ad-free plan cover every assistant?
Yes. The $4.99 monthly plan covers all your AutoMessage assistants. You do not need a separate upgrade for each conversation.
Choosing an assistant
Can I try another assistant later?
Yes. You can choose another assistant when you have a question for that topic.
Which assistant can help me practice for an interview tomorrow?
Choose Alex. Give him the role, your available practice time and one real example from your work. Ask for one question at a time, then revise your answer after feedback.
Which assistant can help me write a message in French?
Choose Camille. Send your draft or describe the situation, your French level and the tone you want. Ask for one correction, try the revised sentence and continue the conversation.
Which assistant can find current news about my city?
Choose Nora. Name the city and topic, then open the source links and check the publication and event dates. Miles helps with travel outlines but has no live search or booking access.
What assistants can do
Can AutoMessage book a trip or operate my accounts?
No. Miles can help discuss travel ideas, but AutoMessage does not run a browser agent or make bookings for you.
Is AutoMessage an alternative to Instinct or OpenClaw?
Yes, for focused conversational tasks. It is not a substitute for their broader tool-based workflows.
Memory and reminders
Does AutoMessage support recurring reminders?
The current service supports bounded one-time reminders, not an unlimited recurring schedule.
Does every assistant share my memory?
No. Conversation details stay in their own thread. Timezone can carry across threads.
What should I include when asking for a reminder?
State the task, date, time and timezone. Check the assistant’s confirmation for the intended time. AutoMessage supports bounded one-time reminders rather than a recurring schedule.
Privacy and message controls
Does AutoMessage need access to my inbox?
No. AutoMessage’s current focused conversations do not connect to your inbox. See the privacy policy for data processing and sharing details.
Can I delete only one assistant conversation?
DELETE erases and stops the selected assistant conversation. STOP opts out across the messaging service.
